Coach With Us – Lead the Next Generation of Pirates

As our current 10U team graduates to 11U this fall, the James Island Pirates are expanding! We’re forming new 8U, 9U, and 10U travel teams and looking for coaches and mentors who are ready to lead within a proven system built on culture, consistency, and development.

This is not a “start your own team” situation. We’ve built something special — and we’re looking for aligned leaders who want to be part of it.

We are seeking:

• Head Coaches (parent or non-parent)

• Assistant Coaches and Support Roles

• Former players and community members who want to give back

• Growth-minded leaders who care about more than just winning

• Team Volunteers; Uniforms, Travel, Music…

At JIBC, our approach is rooted in player development and personal growth. We teach young athletes how to play the game the right way — with focus, effort, and joy — while helping them build the confidence, habits, and mindset they’ll carry for life.

You’ll have the full backing of the James Island Baseball Club — including program guidance, team support systems, and a proven roadmap to help you thrive within the travel baseball scene. We’ve built a structure designed for long-term success — and you won’t be doing this alone.

Fall 2025 Player Eligibility:

• 8U: Born on or after May 1, 2017

• 9U: Born on or after May 1, 2016

• 10U: Born on or after May 1, 2015

All JIBC volunteers are required to be BASE Certified through USA Baseball by completing The Abuse Awareness course and Background Check, as well as adhere to our Zero-Tolerance Abuse & Harassment policies. Be sure to let us know if you have any special credentials or certifications too.
